Reading Roots & Early Life
My journey began right here in Reading, where I grew up as a second-generation Latino in a single-parent household. My upbringing instilled in me a deep sense of resilience, community, and fairness—values that guide every decision I make as your representative. I graduated from Reading High School in 2006 and pursued my education at Kutztown University, where I discovered the power of advocacy and grassroots organizing.

Education & Community Leadership
During my time at Kutztown University, I was inspired by the belief that when people come together and raise their voices, real change happens. Working on President Barack Obama's campaign solidified my commitment to fighting for communities like ours, where opportunity, equality, and justice matter. This experience led me to serve on the Reading School Board from 2013 to 2017, where I championed policies to better fund our public schools, reduce class sizes, and give every student the tools they need to thrive.

Building Bridges & Empowering Communities
After my time on the school board, I worked as the Coalitions Director for the Pennsylvania Democratic Party, focusing on empowering communities of color and ensuring their voices were represented at every level of government. This work was not just political—it was deeply personal. I understand firsthand the struggles of working families, and I believe that our government should always put people over profit and principles over partisanship.

State Representative & Historic Leadership
Since my election to the Pennsylvania House in 2020, I've focused on creating family-sustaining jobs, improving public safety, investing in infrastructure, and advancing social justice. As Chair of the Appropriations Subcommittee on Economic Impact and Infrastructure, I'm working to bring critical resources to our community. In 2024, I made history as the first Latino chairman of the Central Pennsylvania Delegation, a role that reflects my commitment to equality, opportunity, and the power of diversity.
